Chesapeake Coffee Roasters is hosting a Burlap Craft Competition
Now's your chance to get creative with some of our awesome painted burlap bags. What will you make... A new purse? Book bag? Pillow Cover? Apron? Upgrading the garden? A new piece of art for the kitchen wall? We can’t wait to see your burlap bags come to life!
Join us at the Roasting Facility for coffee and pick up your burlap bags any Wednesday from 2PM-6PM within the competition dates. Nina will be featuring different drip coffees each week along with cold brew and other fun seasonal surprises!
Not a local? No Problem! You can order burlap online, but you will not have the ability to choose bags or designs. (Extra kudos to those who go the "mystery burlap" route!)
The Details:
• The competition runs September 6th through December 6th 2023.
• Coffee Wednesday is from 2pm-6pm at the Roasting Facility: Get Directions
• There is a minimum donation of $5 per painted burlap bag.
• Limited quantity on burlap designs - first come first serve!
• 3 winners will be announced December 20th with prizes valued over $100!!
Submit your creation to Nina Grant at nina@cbrccoffee.com To be eligible for submission, please include your name, phone number, email address and photos of your creation. Photo submissions may be shared on our social media so please provide your handle if you’d like to be tagged. Have questions? Contact Nina and she'll help you out.
A Simple Request:
Burlap Pick up is ONLY during Coffee Wednesdays from 2-6pm. Please do not stop into the Roasting Facility unannounced to pick up burlap. We do love visitors, but we have a small (but mighty) team and we don't always have staff on site that can assist with purchases. Save yourself some time & frustration and only come on Wednesday. Thank you from All of us!
Where's my Donation Going?
Thanks for asking! We are proud to support Oyster Recovery Partnership (ORP). ORP is dedicated to restoring the Bay’s native oyster population by building sanctuary reefs, rebuilding public fishery reefs, supporting the aquaculture industry, oyster shell recycling, and getting the public involved through hands-on volunteering and events. All monies collected from the Burlap Craft Competition will be donated to ORP to support their efforts so thank you for your support!
