We have an important update related to our packaging. Due to an ongoing manufacturing issue with our retail can supplier, which has affected their ability to provide cans in a timely manner, our retail cans are no longer available. However, we remain committed to offering a convenient 12oz option and are excited to announce that we are actively transitioning our 12oz can product to a 12oz bag.
While we were planning to switch to a compostable bag in 2026, the issue with our can supplier has led us to begin this transition sooner than anticipated. While we hoped to continue with the cans into the new year, that just wasn't an option. We intend to continue offering three limited-edition coffees in steel cans each year. However, we are now looking for a new supplier to make that happen as well.
As we work through this change and ensure our new packaging aligns with our commitment to sustainability, you may receive different 12oz bag styles. Rest assured, it's the same great Chesapeake Coffee you know and love inside.
We'll begin with Biotre kraft bags already in our warehouse, followed by a #2 recyclable bag in early January. As an interim step, this recyclable option will bridge us to the launch of our new Biotre 2.0 compostable bags, scheduled for Spring 2026.
This evolution not only ensures packaging consistency but also reflects our dedication to sustainability and innovation. Every decision we make is guided by our mission to provide quality coffee while advancing environmentally responsible solutions.
