It will be an epic night at Heavy Seas Taproom on Friday, January 31st, as we raise funds for the Deep Creek Dunk to support Special Olympics Maryland! Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to join the fun.

We're also celebrating the return of Blackbeard's Breakfast! This bourbon barrel-aged porter, brewed with CCR's Dark Sumatra coffee & aged in bourbon barrels, boasts a bold 10% ABV and rich notes of caramel, nuttiness, and of course, bourbon. Sip like a legend and celebrate the comeback of this flavorful favorite!

Why We Support The Dunk

It's more than just a chilly plunge—it's a celebration of our commitment to Coffee, Community, and Clean Water. Your coffee purchases help us protect the beautiful Chesapeake Bay Watershed and promote clean water initiatives that benefit our environment. At CCR, we also give back and uplift our local community. The Dunk allows us to highlight our inspiring employee, Kevin, a Special Olympian swimmer. In 2024, Kevin won 1st place in the 400m freestyle event. Kevin's journey reminds us of the incredible potential within each person, and with your help, we can create more opportunities for the athletes and Unified® teammates of Special Olympics Maryland!

By supporting the 2025 Deep Creek Dunk, you are helping to provide year-round sports and leadership programs for the athletes and Unified® teammates of Special Olympics Maryland. Your donation will support the sports and leadership programs offered throughout the state. Special Olympics Maryland programs are FREE to athletes and families thanks to generous community supporters who believe in the Special Olympics mission: to give our athletes opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
